Toxic Pearl is a must read!!

To Whom It May Concern:

Toxic Pearl came out recently and exposes an ugly truth that anyone with any ties to Puget Sound should be aware of. Your jaw will drop but your eyes will be opened....please read it and pass it on to bring awareness to everyone you care about. This should be a topic at every dinner table and every classroom. Get informed, get involved and get your representatives to protect our waters and environment.

To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you all for your consideration in voluntarily maintaining Eld Inlet as a no-shooting zone....What a great community we live in!!

Note: Blogs previous to October 14, 2016 regard concerns that are currently non-issues due to the cooperation of our community members, industry and goverment officials.

To protect our families from inconsiderate hunters… precipitated by duck hunters floating outside our windows in January in duck blinds and kayaks... shooting indiscriminately at migratory sea ducks with total disregard to residents….unrelenting gun shots beginning before 8am on Sunday mornings… shots that rained down upon a nearby home… empty shell casings washed upon beaches for days afterwards…we were stunned, even more stunned to be told by the authorities they were doing.......

NOTHING ILLEGAL!!

Take Action

  • Let your County Commissioners know you support a "controlled shooting zone" over the waters of all of Eld Inlet and surrounding areas. (Cooper Point peninsula has zoning ordinances in place, but not Steamboat peninsula and NOT THE WATERS OF ELD INLET between us.)
  • Email County Commissioners: www.co.thurston.wa.us/bocc/
  • Phone County Commissioners: 360-786-5414
  • Write Commissioners: 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Building #1, Room #269, Olympia, WA 98502
  • Sign petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/elders09petition.html/ to end hunting in Eld Inlet.

We have an ambitious agenda in the months ahead to protect and maintain what we love most around here, and what makes this place so special!
