This majestic owl stopped me in my tracks. It was confidently very still, very silent and very close with only a few feet between us. It stared down upon me from its low lying branch, eye to eye, establishing its superiority as Lord of The Diminishing Forest. It's eyes seemly expressed it was completely aware of what humanoids are unwisely doing to its forest home.
