The people and wildlife living here are not safe.
And the people living here have a simple request: protect us by law from shooting in our neighborhood.

Your jaw will drop but your eyes will be opened....please read it and pass it on to bring awareness to everyone you care about. This should be a topic at every dinner table and every classroom. Get informed, get involved and get your representatives to protect our waters and environment.

To protect our families from inconsiderate hunters… precipitated by duck hunters floating outside our windows in January in duck blinds and kayaks... shooting indiscriminately at migratory sea ducks with total disregard to residents….unrelenting gun shots beginning before 8am on Sunday mornings… shots that rained down upon a nearby home… empty shell casings washed upon beaches for days afterwards…we were stunned, even more stunned to be told by the authorities they were doing.......NOTHING ILLEGAL!!

- Let your County Commissioners know you support a "controlled shooting zone" over the waters of all of Eld Inlet and surrounding areas. (Cooper Point peninsula has zoning ordinances in place, but not Steamboat peninsula and NOT THE WATERS OF ELD INLET between us.)
